| Session Synopsis | This session will showcase how the WHO and MPP co-led mRNA Technology Transfer Programme is building a regional ecosystem for innovation, regional manufacturing, and capacity strengthening to advance pandemic preparedness. Thailand’s leading institutions — Chulalongkorn University, Chula VRC, and Mahidol University — are anchoring R&D consortia on HPV, malaria, dengue, and HFMD, with partners across Southeast Asia. Manufacturers Polyvac (Vietnam) and Incepta (Bangladesh), along with Afrigen (South Africa), are advancing mRNA platforms to enhance regional autonomy. Korea’s International Vaccine Institute supports training and regulatory alignment. The session will highlight licensing, progress, and policy levers enabling equitable, sustainable mRNA innovation. |
