| Session Synopsis | This session is co-organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the WHO Regional Offices for South-East Asia (SEARO) and the Western Pacific (WPRO), brings together regulatory authorities, development partners, and industry stakeholders to explore how to advance the commitments under the Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPR) Agreement. Discussions will focus on advancing concrete actions to strengthen regulatory systems, enhance coordination, and ensure timely access to essential medical products during public health emergencies. The session aims to generate actionable recommendations to accelerate PPR-aligned reforms, with a particular emphasis on supporting low- and middle-income countries. It underscores the importance of sustained collaboration, and strong political will to build agile regulatory systems for future pandemic preparedness. |
