Session 1
: The Future of Health AI
Global Collaboration,
Sustainable Innovation
The Future of Health AI
Health AI has advanced at an unprecedented pace, with the global market projected to grow by over 40% annually through 2030.
This innovative technology offers substantial opportunities to improve healthcare service systems in aging societies, reduce the heavy workload of essential medical workforce, and unlock innovative diagnostic and therapeutic pathways for
high-burden diseases such as cancer and dementia.
In South Korea, the adoption of AI is accelerating, particularly in diagnostic support, intensive care units, and emergency medical services.
However, this rapid technological progress also introduces new challenges, including legal and ethical accountability,
as well as equity concerns stemming from disparities in digital infrastructure and technological readiness across healthcare institutions.
This session will explore strategies for establishing international governance and regulatory frameworks to promote the responsible and trustworthy adoption of Health AI.
It will also address social, technical, and educational dimensions essential for the successful integration of Health AI across diverse healthcare environments.
Furthermore, the discussion will examine approaches for enhancing global collaboration,
data sharing, and technological interoperability to maximize the capabilities of Health AI in times of global health crises, with the ultimate aim of fostering a sustainable Health AI ecosystem and defining our shared roles in advancing global cooperation
(Session Topics)
- AI Governance and Policy in Healthcare
- Strategic Support for Health AI Development
- Health AI in Clinical Practice
- Clinician Acceptance of Health AI
- Pandemic Preparedness Engine: An Integrated AI/ML Platform for Disease X
- The Future Direction for AI in Healthcare Service
